# Organizations

An organization owns your workspaces, members, settings, SSO, domains, and audit trail.

## Create an organization

1. Open ContextOwl.
2. Choose **Create organization**.
3. Enter a team or company name.
4. Open **Admin** to configure the organization.

New organizations receive a platform docs subdomain automatically. The subdomain is assigned by ContextOwl and is separate from the organization name.

## Configure branding

Open **Admin > Settings > Theming** to set the theme mode, accent color, dark and light logos, and type.

Branding applies to public docs pages for that organization.

## Security settings

Admins can require two-factor authentication for members. SSO can also be configured for organizations that use an identity provider.

## Audit trail

Admin actions and content changes are recorded in the audit log. Use it to answer who changed access, settings, pages, and workspaces.
