# Getting Started

ContextOwl is a documentation app for teams that need public docs, private drafts, review controls, and agent access in one place.

## Quick start

1. Sign in or create an account.
2. Create an organization for your team.
3. Create a workspace for one product, API, or internal handbook.
4. Add your first article from the composer.
5. Publish the article when it is ready.
6. Invite teammates from Admin.

## Core concepts

- Organization: the team, billing, members, SSO, and domains.
- Workspace: one documentation site inside an organization.
- Article: one Markdown page with status, revisions, and optional access controls.
- Sidebar: the ordered navigation tree for a workspace.
- Agent key: a scoped token for MCP and API access.

## Recommended first page

Start with a short "Welcome" page that answers three questions:

- What is this product or docs space for?
- Who should read it?
- Where should readers go next?
