Editorial Workflow
Use statuses to show whether a page is ready for readers.
Statuses
- Draft: work in progress.
- In Review: ready for a teammate to check.
- Beta: usable, but still changing.
- Stable: published and supported.
- Deprecated: kept for reference, but no longer recommended.
Publish a page
- Open the article in the composer.
- Confirm the title, body, sidebar placement, and visibility.
- Change the status to Stable.
- Save.
Only members with write access can edit content. Status changes are a separate permission for agent keys.
Archive a page
Archive pages that should disappear from public docs, search, sitemap, and machine-readable exports. Archived pages are hidden without permanently deleting their history.
Review checklist
- The first paragraph says what the page is for.
- Steps are ordered and testable.
- Code samples use real placeholders.
- Links point to live pages.
- The page has a clear next step.
